We are lucky to live in the beautiful and inspiring landscape of the Somerset Mendip Hills. Jackie is a painter in silk screens, oils and pastels and Roland is a potter in stoneware and porcelain. We exhibit in West Country in galleries and in group exhibitions.
We would be pleased to hear from you and may be contacted at our email addresses:
I love the play of light in the natural landscape. My free and rapid brush work expresses a harmony with scenes which are timeless appearing as renewed ever changing shining moments in nature’s work, powerful and independent with an existence and life force unaffected by humanity.
I am inspired by natural history, texture, and movement. These are my sources for a fusion of clay into lively ceramics.

Jackie specialised in art at Teacher’s Training College in Exmouth. She has taught in primary schools in England and Australia, enjoying working with children. She became a semi-professional artist in 1995
Since then Jackie has painted professionally in silk screens, pastel and in oils. She is inspired by the play of light on the landscape, observed originally in Cornwall, and more recently in Scotland, the Brecon Beacons, Pembrokeshire and the countryside near Bath.
Jackie exhibits in galleries widely in the West Country and also with two groups, Trinity (photographic, oil, and ceramic artists) and New Horizons (painters and ceramicists). Jackie's paintings are in collections in Canada, Australia, Ireland and the UK. She sells paintings privately and also through exhibitions and galleries.
Commissions are considered in pastel and oil.
